There are little known specific benefits the Willow Flycatcher has for humans, besides that its diet consists primarily of insect including bees, wasp, ants flies, butterflies and moths which help humans regarding pest control.

The reconstruction of habitats for the willow fly catcher not only benefits the bird and restores the environment but also it creates adequate habitat for other species. These restored habitats will also indirectly benefit humans due to the water savings that are associated with reclamation. Restored habitats act as a natural filter for water helping filter pollutants and other impurities. Dams have highly effected the habitat of the Willow Flycatcher so with restoration comes, the release of some water to help recreate the natural prehuman influenced habitat. Also, there will be stricter regulations on the chemicals allowed to be released into the water, which results in cleaner water for the people. With the planned restoration projects there will be an increase in native plants to the environment and a decrease in exotic plants.
